Tom Breddy – Highest Paid NFL Player

The National Football League is well known for compensating best players with large income to keep talent in team. Aside from income from teams, these players earn a large amount from endorsements. Tom Breddy, Patriots quarterback on September 09, 2010 agreed to 4 year extension that will pay him average of 18 million dollars per year making him the highest paid NFL player. This amount is the highest average yearly income in the record of NFL. This extension will start from next session, keeping Tom a ‘Patriot’ until the year 2015. The extension covers up 48.5 million dollars guaranteed. This year, the player will make 6.5 million dollars in last year of 4 year extension period that has cited he wishes to participate in next ten seasons.

Previous highest paid NFL player was Eli Manning, Giants quarterback who scored a tremendous Super Bowl winning to 6-year extension starting in the year 2011 which will give him the average yearly salary of 16.25 million dollars. Peyton Manning, the brother of Eli is in his final year of 7 year expansion that has paid him the average of 14 million dollars on yearly basis.

This extension of Tom Breddy was firstly reported during the halftime of regular season opening as Drew Brees and Brett Favre battled out. Saints defeated Vikings by 14-9.
